GeekFuel March 2015 box review

Today I am reviewing the March 2015 Geek Fuel subscription box. Geek Fuel is a monthly subscription box full of geeky things is cost $13.90 a month plus shipping and handling. So let's see what's in it.

1. Darryll Jones Poster

I must say I love this poster you may not be able to see but there is a storm trooper flying the plane. I was not able to find this for sale so can't put an exact price on it but posters tend to run around $10 so that's what I will estimate for this.

2. Dragon Glass

This dragon glass arrowhead based on The Game Of Thrones is a wonderful little trinket. Once again I could not find these for sale I did find just the arrowhead for $1 a piece so will use that price.

3. Warmachine tactics downloadable game code and sticker sheet

I don't know much about this game haven't played it yet but I like the stickers and I know my son will too and we will be checking out the game. This is a $40 value

4. Game of Thrones comic book

A nice comic in a plastic sleeve I don't read comics because they mess with my sensory issues but my oldest son does so will pass this to him. These sale for around $4.

5. Spock live long and prosper button

A great little tribute button to Leonard Nimoy I love it and just can't put a price on it.

6. Gears of War Imulsion energy drink

It's an energy drink not much else to say the sale for $1.50

7. Thrones of Games T-shirt

Going with the Game of Thrones theme this shirt displays thrones that belong to some of our favorite games. I love this shirt. This is an exclusive shirt so don't have an exact price but shirts average around $15 so that's what we will use.

So that is everything in the GeekFuel box giving it a total value of around $ 71.50 at a cost of only $13.90 you are getting around $58 worth of stuff free I would say this is a wonderful deal and worth it. If you would like to check out my unboxing video you can find it here

Bonjour Jolie March 2015 box review

Today I am reviewing the Bonjour Jolie monthly subscription box. This box is a period box you can get it for $16 a month plus shipping or you can get a one time try box for $20, which is what I got. You can also get a just the goodies box where you get all the fun stuff but no feminine protection products for $10 a month and finally they also have a first period box for young girls getting their periods for the first time this is a one time buy box for $21. So let's get to it.

When you first get into the box you will find a few pretty bags filled with goodies and one desecrate bag filled with the essentials. This months theme was Go green so the goodies are recycled and all natural.

1. The essentials.
These are your tampoons, pads, and panty liners what ever combination you ordered. You are given the choice of 25 mix and match items or 1 full unopened box. For me having this delivered is invaluable seeing as how I'm a busy mom and it never fails I always need these before I remember to go buy some. To buy the equivalent would cost you around $5.

2. Summer's Eve cleansing cloth
this is one island splash cleansing cloth always good to have some of these. a box of 16 cloths runs about $2. giving this one cloth a value of $0.12

3. Advil trial packs
this is an optional product you can choose to get the pain reliever or not I decided to include it in my box. you can get 30 of these packs for $18 giving these 3 a value of $1.80 all together.

4. The Gift
This months gift was a handrolled recycled paper bead bracelet from bead for life. Bead for life is a program in Uganda designed to help local women lift themselves out of extreme poverty. I love that this cute bracelet also helps support a good cause. This bracelet is valued at $15

Now lets get into the Pampering products

5. EO shower gel
mine is french lavender scented unfortunately I am allergic to lavender so can't use this but I will use it for my kids to help them sleep. the bottle is the 1.5 oz travel size valued at $1.80

6. EO body lotion
this is also the 1.5 oz travel size and I got the grapefruit and mint scent which I like very much. EO products are all natural and free from synthetic fragrances, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and GMO-free. this bottle is valued at $1.80

7. White towel terry cotton refreshment towel
This little towel can used as a hot or cold towel it is pre-moistened and lavender scented. Once again I can't use this due to allergies but my children can and with their sensory issues they love putting rags on their face so this will just help calm them even more. this is valued at $1

Now for the Edibles

8. Tree hugger organic gum
I received three pieces of this all natural bubble gum with no artificial colors, or flavors and gluten and nut free. I'm not big on gum but my son tried it and he did not like it at all spit it out immediately. These are valued at $1.15 for 3 pieces.

these little candies are all natural with no gluten, no artificial flavors or colors. Now my son tried these and again did not like them but I tried these and I thought they were great. these are valued at $1.50

10. Endangered species chocolate
now I am normally not a fan of dark chocolate but I really liked this. It was a happy surprise for me. As a bonus to good chocolate 10% of sales goes to help support endangered species so I'm really loving this product. These 2 pieces are valued at a total of $0.60

11. Scharffen Berger chocolate
These are 2 of their small tasting squares again these are both dark chocolate which I'm not a fan of and these ones I didn't like very much. They are valued at $0,78

12. Stash Organic Teas
These organic teas are made with the finest and freshest ingredients. I have not yet tried these but have heard they are wonderful. these are valued at $1.50

This is one of my favorite candy bars I love it. this is valued at about $1.50.

So that's everything as you can see it was a very full box.
For a cost of $20 plus shipping I got a value of $34.25 I'd say that is defiantly a good value. If you would like to see my unboxing video you can find it here.

Bulu Box March 2015 Review

Today I am reviewing the Bulu box if you would like to watch my unboxing video you can find it here.

Bulu box it is a monthly subscription box focused on health and wellness, it costs $10.00 a month. They offer two boxes the basic, which is what I got, or the weight loss. The boxes have supplements and snacks. Please keep in mind with the food items our entire family is autistic with sensory issues and we are picky eaters with that said lets get to it.

1. AllergEase
All natural lozenges for allergy relief. In my video I said I was going to have my 9 year old try these but I read the fine print and they are not for children under 12. Even though I don't have problems with allergies I did try one and the menthol was a bit strong for me although it did clear up all my congestion from my cold very quickly so I liked that. These are sold for $13.99 for 42 we got 21 so that's would be a value of $7.00.

2. Mediterranean snacks backed lentil crackers

Unfortunately from our family these got a resounding no. Non of us liked the flavor of them. These sale for $17.94 for 6 4.5oz bags ours is a .75oz bag making it's value about $0.75

3. Zestra

This is an all natural arousal ointment. Being a single mom of three I don't really have the opportunity to try this so can't give you much input on it. It sales for $9.99 for 3 packets we received one with a value of $3.33

4. Helps Tea

We got one for kids rehydration diets. Normally my kids all like tea although they do not like licorice and this had a strong licorice flavor so they did not like it. I tried it myself and I did like it. These sale for $16.47 for 60 we got 2 valued at $0.55

5. BPI sports FunnBar
These are protein candy chews they came in 2 flavors Tropical fruit and Chocolate caramel I tried both and the taste wasn't bad I did prefer the fruit one but both were okay my only complaint was they were a bit hard and not so much chewy. These sale for $29.75 for 12 bars with 10 pieces per bar we got 2 pieces making it a value of  $0.50.

6. VitaPerk
We got 2 of the Hazelnut ones they add vitamins and minerals to your coffee. I am allergic to hazelnut so was not able to try this, but my 17 year old did and he said it was good he would use it again. These sale for $19.99 for 30 making our 2 a value of  $1.33.

That is what we got this month in the Bulu box for a cost of $10.00 and a value of $13.46 I would say it is worth it. Even though the stuff this month did not go over well for us I will be getting it again next month in hopes of trying to get our family a little more healthy. Again if you would like to watch my unboxing video you can find it here.

This is our finished product.

16.  Color your own mini drawstring bag

My 2 youngest boys (7 and 9 years old) colored this together with minimal problems was great for practicing cooperation and social interaction skills. This is their finished product.

they each had their own colored and followed each others patterns.

All in all there was a lot of great stuff in this box I truly like it. I think it is great for autistic children and even for young non autistic children for me it was worth the cost and I would recommend checking out. Get your own Autism Sensory Box here
